1. First of all you are going to need some gloves paper towels and caulk. You will be need gloves because you will be dealing with the bed bugs directly and paper towels for the same reason.
2. Go into the room where you have the biggest infestation. This room is mainly the place where they get in from the outside.
3. You should know by now where the bed bugs are, if not there are usually hiding in places where there isn’t much light. For instance check in dressers, closets, under the mattress, and behind the door in the hinges.
4. What you want to do is to manually gather all the bed bugs with your paper towels:) Make sure you dispose of them, preferably outside away from your house or even flush down the toilet.
5. Now you should have gotten all the bed bugs you can see visibly out of your house or apartment. So take that caulk and caulk all the little cracks and holes in you house that lead to the outside. Many bed bugs crawl through little cracks even through the outlets!
6. I would then take your mattress and throw it away because eggs are hard to see and so are the newborns. If you cant afford to throw away your mattress clean it thoroughly!
7. If you still have the same mattress or you bought a new one, you will need to wrap it plastic so the bugs not have a nesting place.
8. Clean, Clean, Clean…..
That is it. It is a tiring process but will work. Remember there are different ways to do this so don’t be discouraged if this isn’t what you exactly want to do.
